Option 1:
For security purposes, eSPACE will lock a User's account if they make too many consecutive failed attempts to log in. When this happens, an email is sent to the User and they can unlock (reactivate) their own account by simply following the instructions in the email.
- Therefore, it is vital that the user is able to receive emails from eSPACE in order for their account to be unlocked.
Option 2:
Admins can also go to Settings > Basic > Users and see if a user has been locked out of their account. If they see a message that says a user has been locked out, then they can "Edit" the user and choose the option to unlock them. Afterward, the user can go to app.espace.cool and try to log in again.
Option 1: Reset Login by Email
After too many consecutive failed password attempts, a User will be locked out of their account.
Once this happens they will receive an email explaining that their account is locked and helping them to Reset their Password. Once their password is reset, their account will be unlocked.
Once they click the link, Reset Password, they will be prompted to:
- Enter a new password
- Confirm the new password
- Check to Agree to eSPACE terms of use
- Save
Their account is now UNLOCKED! This new window below will appear where they can click to login.
Option 2: Admins Unlock Their Account
Admins can go to the left navigation bar > Settings > Basic > Users and scroll to locate the User that is Locked Out. If they see a message that says "Locked Out", then they can Edit that user...
...and then choose the option to "Unlock User".
Afterward, the User can go to app.espace.cool and login again. This time, they will be prompted to enter a New Password.
