For security purposes, eSPACE will lock a User's account if they make too many consecutive failed attempts to log in. When this happens, an email is sent to the User and they can unlock (reactivate) their own account by simply following the instructions in the email. Therefore, it is vital that the user is able to receive emails from eSPACE in order for their account to be unlocked.
At the end of this article see how an Admin can manually UNLOCK a user account!
Please read on to see how this process works.
After too many consecutive failed password attempts, a User will be locked out of their account.
Once this happens they will receive an email explaining that their account is locked and helping them to Reset their Password. Once their password is reset, their account will be unlocked.
Once they click the link, Reset Password, they will be prompted to:
- Enter a new password
- Confirm the new password
- Check to Agree to eSPACE terms of use
- Save
Their account is now UNLOCKED! This new window below will appear where they can click to login.
