Admin can also be granted a Sub-Admin role
When in an admin's profile, after selecting them to be an Event Admin select Specify Approval Areas, and under User Approval Areas, select their Approval Area(s) and click Save.
The Admin with a Sub-Admin role will have a new grid on the Dashboard called "My Approved Items".
In this grid, when the Admin (with the sub-admin role) clicks "Approve" on an event in their My Approval Area Items" grid, only the items in their approval area on that event will be approved. They will not approve the whole event, like when they click Approve on an event when it's in the "Requires Administrative Approval" grid.
However, the admin will have access to the traditional admin grid, "Requres Administrative Approval". They should only use this grid to view events, view what's pending by other sub-admins, and monitor events. If they click "Approve" on events in this grid, it will approve the entire event and thus no longer require sub-admins to approve their own items.
If the admin needs to approve items on the event request for a sub-admin who is out of office, then once they have confirmed that all the other sub-admins have approved their items in their approval area by reviewing what is still pending approval by clicking on the clock icon, then they can click "Approve" on the event and then they will approve any and all item still needing approval.
- Remember admins approving events in the "Requires Administrative Approval" grid should only do so after confirming that all sub-admins have approved their items. They will confirm this by reviewing the items still pending approval by clicking on the clock icon on the event.
