If your eSPACE subscription has both Event Scheduler and Work Order & Asset Management then any portal user, regular user, sub-admin, or admin in Event Scheduler can add a work order from their dashboard, monitor the status of all submitted work orders. They can also see and add conversations on a work order.
Portal users (non-admin/sub-admins/regular users) can also add & view comments on work orders if they enter a work order by clicking on "My Modules" and selecting Work Order Portal.
Work Order through the Portal on the Event Scheduler Dashboard
- Click on the "Work Order Portal" button, located on the top of your dashboard.
- Add your request, make your selections from the drop-downs and add your description.
- Select a completion date and a space that relates to the work order (if allowed or required under Settings).
- Add any attachments, such as a picture, etc. and then SAVE.
- Once the work order is assigned, the requester will receive an email notification about it.
- Users who enter events through the Work Order Portal can easily monitor the status of all of their work orders at any time by clicking on the “Work Order Portal Button” button....
- ... and then clicking on “My Work Orders”.
- Users will then see all of their requested work orders and the status of them.
- They can also search for work orders with a specific status, like "Completed".

Conversations on Work Orders
- Users can always expand a work order to see the Conversations tab in order to start or add to a conversation with another user in eSPACE. This way they can communicate about the work that needs to be done and have that conversation tied to the work order rather than be separate in their inbox.

Adding & Viewing Comments on Work Orders
- Portal Users can also click on "My Modules" in their Event Scheduler account, select Work Order Portal and also enter work order that way.
- This way allows portal users (non-admins/sub-admins/regular users) to also add and view comments on work orders if an admin in Work Order & Asset Management has enabled "Allow Portal Users To Add Comments?" under Settings > Advanced> General > Work Order Creation.
- If an admin has enabled that setting, then portal users will see the following when they enter a work order in the portal after clicking on "My Modules".
