In Floor Plan, any user that has the ability to edit Floor Plan can create and then use preset configurations in order to quickly build new ones for spaces! For example, a preset could be an 8 foot rectangular table with 3 chairs on each side, then you could use that preset to quickly build large configurations for banquets, meetings ect. For any table and chair combination that you need to repeat multiple times or rows of chairs that you need to repeat multiple time ect, presets let you build those bigger configurations much more quickly and individually adding each chair, table etc.
Building a Built Preset Configuration
1. First click on Floor Plan in the left side menu bar, then click on a specific Floor Plan name.
2. Next click on a space and then choose "Configurations" in the right side menu.
3. Click "Build New" in order to create a new configuration.
4. Name the configuration, add a description if you want, and then choose "Next".
5. In the next window you will see the tabs A. "Space Icons", B. "Shapes", and C. "Presets". To continue building a preset you can either choose individual icons and shapes or a preset that has already been built (see more in the next section).
When building a Preset from scratch with individual icons and shapes, choose from the available options on the "Space Icons" and "Shapes" tabs. Once you are finished adding your tables, chairs, ect for one setup, click and drag around all the icons in order to highlight them all you will see a new option appear "Save as Preset".
6. Then name your preset. The name of the preset can be the same or different from the name of the configuration. While the name of the configuration will appear in the list of configurations for the space that it was created in, the preset name will appear in the list of presets under Floor Plan > Setting > Presets (see step 7) and in the list of Presets when creating a new configuration (see screenshot in step 5).
7. You will be able to see your preset in the list of configurations for the space that you added it to as well as under Floor Plan > Settings.
