    If you haven't tried the WorshipPlanning.com Mobile site yet, I strongly encourage you to do so.  We've found it runs much better than the iPhone app, and allows you to do a bit more with files (MP3 scrub bar, view PDFs).  It is still in beta, but feel free to check it out at: http://wplan.me.  Accessing this link from a regular computer will take you to the main WP site.

    Hi Nancy,

    I am sorry this discussion thread wasn't updated, but the iPhone app has actually been replaced with the mobile web version (which I eluded to in an earlier post).  You can access the mobile website by pointing your smartphone or tablet to http://wplan.me (or m.worshipplanning.com).  The mobile website is much faster and has much more functionality than the native iPhone app.  Plus, it works with Android devices as well.  You can even create a shortcut to the mobile site on your home screen so that it launches just like a native app.

    We changed to the mobile web version because it is far easier for us to develop and update (meaning you, the user, get updates faster).  You can read the full details on the mobile website here: http://goo.gl/vTqrg

    Hi guys, I like the way that when you add the mobile site to your home screen, it launches like a native app, but on the iPhone 5 it doesn't take up the whole screen. The browser version looks and functions better, but the "bookmark/web-app" sure is convenient. Any plans to fix this compatibility issue? Thanks!

    Hi Chip.  Currently, the mobile web-app requires an internet connect to function, including access to music files.  A possible work around would be to download the files on a desktop, then transfer the files to your mobile device when you have an internet connect.  But I know that is not ideal.

    Hi Mark.  We don't have anything specifically planned right now for a native iPhone app.  The mobile web app version of WP really behaves very much like a native app, with the benefit of working across a multitude of device types get getting functionality updates real-time.  And with the ability to put the launch icon right on your iPhone homescreen, you can even open and run the mobile web app just like a native app.

    I just introduced worship planning to my worship team. My is use to having the ability to access songs through an app on their phones (iphones and androids). Your product would be so much easier to implement if you offered an app. When will an app become available for both iphones and androids? I know you have a mobile web app but when will the phone apps become available?

    Lame.  I don;t want to have to use the webbrowser on my phone to access your site.  I can't point and click a qr code unless I'm at a computer where you show it to me every time.  Please reconsider and soon!!!

    Thanks for your feedback Dale.  If you don't mind, check out these screenshots from my iPhone.  By using the "Add to Home Screen" option in Safari, the mobile site will launch and act just like a native app on your iPhone or iPad (no need to remember a URL, find a QR code, or give up real estate to the browser navigation items).  We are a small company with limited development resources.  Developing and maintaining a native app for all popular mobile devices is something that would require us to deeply sacrifice development of new functionality on the main site.  Our goal is to offer a mobile experience that rivals a native app without the enormous cost that always comes with it.

    If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the functionality of the mobile web app, we are all ears.

    Since the beta release I have not been able to use the iPhone 5 with the latest iOS 7.1.2 and Safari to use the site as a planner. When I hit an icon on the ribbon (like Library, People, Msg Board, etc.) the pull-down menu appears but none of the options can be selected. This problem was fixed on the iPad version but not the iPhone version. I don't carry my iPad around and often have to make schedule changes on the fly. I had a ticket #6459 that had described this problem but it has been removed from the queue. Please advise. Glenn Andersen

    Is anyone else having issues playing mp3 music files on their mobile device?  I'm using the mobile site from my iPhone5s and iPad.  Everything works fine except the mp3 files.  I'm conntected to wifi when trying to play them.

    Yes I am.  I was able to play MP3 for the first 2 years and after an operating system upgrade, I can no longer play MP3 from Worship Planner.

    I am using an iPhone6 and it does not matter whether or not I use Safari or Chrome the MP3's will not play.

    I'd like to try to get to the bottom of your not being able to play mp3s on you iphone6. I was not able to replicate the issue, but it could have something to do with the files you are playing. Let's move this over to a support ticket, and I'll get some more information from you.

    I have 2 Apple Devices (iPhone6 Plus & I just purchased an iPad) and I cannot play MP3 songs from Worship Planning on either device.  They play fine from a Windows device.  Very disappointing.  I tried seeking assistance from Support but got no where.    They moved me over to Support and they communicated 3 times but just stopped with no resolution.  Rochelle Scott

    Hi Rochelle.  I'm sorry for the trouble you have been having, and the incomplete support.  I will reach out to you today to continue trying to resolve your issue (your support ticket is still open in our system).  I think our biggest challenge has been the inability to reproduce the problem on our Apple devices.  But if we can get on the phone together, I'm hopeful we can get to the bottom of it.
